Its sleek design manages to look both modern and classic, offering great comfort for hours of sitting. It’s on the pricier side of office chairs, but the price is definitely worth it for the comfort it provides and the customization options available out of the box for just the right fit.

The OC14 Ergonomic Chair Pro isn’t a particularly flashy chair, but the smooth curvature to its design gives it a sleek, confident look. My wife and I share an office space, and this chair manages to overshadow hers quite a bit. Not that I’m complaining! The chair’s height holds a stronger presence in the room. It matches my desk perfectly, and beyond the comforts of actually sitting in it (more on that below), the chair just looks nice.

The hard and soft plastics are smooth and firm to the touch, and the mesh cloth looks and feels high quality. Even from the back, the chair manages to catch the eye, offering a cool hollowed out look in the plastic backing. It’s not reinventing what a chair looks like, but it’s certainly eye-catching.

Assembling the chair wasn’t exactly easy, but it was straightforward and fairly typical in the assembly of a good desk chair. The instructions were detailed and well thought-out, and each piece came individually wrapped. No knicks or scratches, though the box looked like it took a bit of a beating in transit.

Assembly doesn’t require any other tools; it comes with everything you’ll need to put it together. A second set of hands wouldn’t hurt in assembling it all, but it can definitely be put together solo.

To put it plainly, this is a very comfortable chair. I know best practice is to get up and walk around every hour, making sure to stretch and loosen the limbs, but if I’m not careful, I can easily spend several hours sitting in this chair without noticing; none of the usual aches and pains I’ve experienced with lower quality office chairs. The mesh cloth on the seat and back is incredibly comfortable, molding to my body with ease and offering a luxurious sitting experience. The mesh also keeps the chair quite cool, even when it’s otherwise warm in the room. I’ve sat in plenty of ergonomic chairs previously, but this one definitely takes the cake on comfort.

The chair itself is highly customizable in both expected and unexpected ways. The chair raises and lowers in the usual manner, and it offers a locking/unlocking mechanism to lean the chair back to a comfortable recline. The arms can be customized in several ways, from the armrests sliding forward and back to also swiveling left and right and raising and lowering to your desired level. Additionally, the chair’s seat can be moved forward and back, further customizing to your preferences depending on how you like to sit.

I’d initially thought the headrest was stationary, but that’s also adjustable, raising and lowering to your desired level with ease. All of these customization options — the maneuverability of the seat, arms, and headrest — make it a suitable chair for a variety of body types.

The aluminum alloy chassis feels sturdy, and the wheels roll smoothly, making no noise, whether or on carpet, tile, or hardwood floors. The chair itself feels sturdy and solid, so rolling on carpet requires an extra push to move easily, but nothing strenuous.

Whether for office work or long hours gaming at the computer, the Ergonomic Chair Pro OC14 offers a great sitting experience, providing hours of comfort and customization options to provide you with the perfect fit. The chair is on the upper end of price ranges for desk chairs, but the quality of this piece shines through in every aspect of its design, earning its price tag with ease. Beyond the cost, which will definitely come down to individual means, this chair is a must-have for anyone who spends a good deal of their lives in front of a computer.
