DXRacer chairs are a staple in the industry, and these are the best ones if you're looking to upgrade your current setup!
Gaming chairs are a complex subject with offerings ranging from the low $100s all the way to as much as $2000 with all chairs available with a plethora of features - and some tradeoffs depending on which variant you ultimately decide to go with. Today we revisit one of the oldest and arguably one of the most premium players in the game: DXRacer, which has offerings that range between a relatively small price range of sub $350 to just a shade above $500.
DXRacer arguably set up the entire gaming chair market with its widely successful DXRacer Formula series when it put together its know-how about making racing car seats with an office chair. Since then, it, along with multiple industry competitors have gone the extra mile to ensure that consumers have a plethora of choices that cater to their needs at multiple price points.
We look at 5 of the most popular current offerings by DXRacer and what they offer in terms of value and features below:
The DXRacer Air Pro Gaming chair is the mesh alternative to the DXR Master and Craft lineup of chairs while offering the same premium build quality the brand is synonymous with.
The DXRacer Air Pro is the more premium edition of the DXRacer Air with high weight capacity, 4D-tilt armrests, and an aluminum wheelbase. That's not where the differences end, however; it has a multifunction tilt and better casters at the base that make it essentially a better and more well-rounded effort by DXRacer overall.
The advantages grow even further when it comes to pricing at times with the standard and pro units sometimes trading within spitting distance of each other; You can pick up the pro on DXRacer's site for as little as only $60 more than the standard currently, making it a no-brainer when it comes to value for money.
The DXRacer Air is a mesh-enabled take on what a gaming chair based on a breathable material should look like in 2023. Patented suspension springs provide a zero-gravity experience with more cushioning than a gamer would expect from a mesh chair. An adjustable memory foam air headrest is another highlight of the DXRacer Air with the same breathable qualities as the rest of the chair. Magnetic lumbar support is easily repositioned to suit the sitting preferences of any user.
The DXRacer Air comes with high durability and sturdy mesh as its primary upholstery material. DXRacer touts having done at least 100,000 stress/durability tests. The mesh material means that it is an ideal chair for warmer office environments or for those of us who like having less heft in our chairs while having excellent value for money.
Comfort however seems to be a more curated thing with the Craft and Master lineup taking a clear lead versus the Air lineup in general and the entry-level Air arguably does a less stellar job than two of DXRacer's higher-end offerings. That is not to say it is uncomfortable; On the contrary, this is one of the better chairs we have tested but the Craft and Master are in a league of their own altogether.
The DXRacer formula gaming chair is DXRacer's oldest foray into the gaming chair market. It defines what a gaming chair should be while benefiting from an excellent value proposition in tow with premium build quality.
DXRacer's first foray into gaming chairs, the DXRacer Formula Gaming Chair is also an ever-popular entry-level chair that should prove to be a reliable partner for most gaming and office sessions. It uses premium faux leather which would make it an appealing offer for those looking for a budget DXRacer chair but are not actively considering a complete mesh upholstery. It sacrifices the 4D armrests and multi-function tilt offerings that some of the more premium DXRacer offerings have; In return, it commands a price point that is DXRacer's most affordable in 2023.
The weight limit is a bit restrictive compared to its peers; While the Air Pro and Air command a relatively low 225 and 200 lb weight limit as per spec on DXRacer's site, the Formula pushes it down to as low as 200 lbs (90 kg for EU readers) which would be a limiting factor for users wanting more leeway in that department. All in, DXRacer's budget offering makes some sacrifices that can be accounted for, but others might limit its appeal given how closely priced its product range is, propelling users to go for its 'Pro' offerings or the Master itself.
The DXRacer Craft Pro can be defined in one simple word: Premium. With a wide Tilt angle, PU leather, and 6 different color designs, the Craft Pro is a mainstay in our recommendations for the best Gaming Chairs money can buy.
Armed with the standard 4D adjustable armrests that are a DXRacer staple and a high-density memory foam headrest pillow, the DXRacer Craft Pro Gaming Chair is designed to make an impression on both the user and those that look at it from afar. It comes with concealed lumbar support and a zero-gravity design.
The Craft lineup is one that DXRacer calls the 'most comfortable gaming chair' and it is easy to see why. With an extended and thickened 5-layer seat cushion and an optional armrest, the Craft Pro is simply a bigger version of the wildly popular Craft chair from the luxury racing car seat maker-turned-gaming chair juggernaut.
The DXR Master is a fully microfiber-leather-based gaming chair that offers comfort, durability, and a premium feel in a no-frills modular design to discerning patrons
The DXRacer Master is DXRacer's magnum opus and with good reason; It comes with premium microfiber leather, excellent adjustable lumbar support (the knob could get some work in to make it feel less visible though), and a completely modular design that allows it to be bundled with as many accessories as you can purchase or DXRacer can offer. It is a masterclass (pun intended) in gaming chairs and one that DXRacer's competitors should consider as the one to beat if they are going to go neck and neck with the racing seat manufacturer turned gaming chair brand.

It does have its cons though; For starters, the Master is catering to the office market. That means that while the design is premium and looks in place just about anywhere, it might be a little less "exciting" for a product that is being pushed to a gaming market with significant emphasis on darker colors. DXRacer's own site, for example, lists 5 different chairs at the time of writing but none of them seem to be of a lighter shade or have customizations that would allow there to be more designs on the upholstery itself, unlike the Craft/Craft Pro lineup. It also gets increasingly pricey once you factor in the cost of add-ons once they kick in en masse.

The DXRacer Air Pro lineup is the best Mesh DXRacer Chair you can get at the time of writing.
The DXRacer Master, despite its shortcomings in terms of pricey add-ons and limited customization when it comes to looks, is a cut above any other DXRacer chair currently available on sale.
